I had a double room for single occupancy, so I had a nice king sized bed with pillows that were just the right thickness and firmness for me. There was loads of wardrobe space and a desk with lots of drawers and cubby holes for all my bits and pieces. The bathroom was small, but it had a great power shower, with plenty of hot water - and decent sized towels. All the furniture was old, and the room could have done with a fresh coat of paint, but that added to the character of the place, and everything was spotlessly clean - which is what matters! I was there in March, so the days were pretty warm, but the nights were quite chilly. The room had an aircon unit, which cooled the room down quite quickly when I got in early in the evening, but wan't needed overnight. There were huge opening windows, but Rome is so noisy that I couldn't have them open overnight. The access arrangements were a bit unusual - the hotel doesn't have a full time reception, so you get a key for the outside door as well as for your room. It felt a bit like coming home to my own place, although I got a wee bit stressed about the possibility of losing my key. I had breakfast at the hotel most mornings, and the food selection was fine for me, but some people might consider it a bit limited. As for location - it was pretty much perfect. It was only a few minutes walk from Termini, about 100 metres away from the Via Nazionale (for catching buses) and in easy walking distance from the centre of Rome. I walked to St Peter's in about 45 minutes. There were also plenty of restaurants in the immediate vicinity (I'd recommend the Diadema, about 3 mins walk down the Via Palermo), and a very nice patisserie just across the road. All in all, I had a very pleasant and comfortable week at the Hotel Caravaggio. It was great value for money (by Rome's price standards), and I'd be very happy to stay there again if (when) I get back to Rome.

If I had to choose one reason to return to this hotel, it would be because of the exceptional service provided by a staff member named Sonny. From the moment we arrived, Sonny's warm smile and genuine attentiveness made us feel welcomed and valued. He consistently went above and beyond to anticipate our needs, offering helpful suggestions and ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Whether it was assisting with our luggage, arranging transportation, or simply offering a friendly chat, Sonny's kindness and professionalism truly set him apart. His dedication to providing exceptional guest service is a testament to the hotel's commitment to excellence, and it is because of Sonny that I would eagerly return to this establishment time and time again.

Located in a quiet side street with pleasant neighborhood cafes, in The same time within walking distance too most attractions. Was pleasantly surprised by the room, which was clean, nice and had a balcony, cooling capacity and the possibility to make coffee or tea. The beds were good and had enough pillows. It was a quiet and peaceful room, both from the outside (the balcony faced a public building/area without much traffic). It was a bit noisy towards the hallway, but it was a little annoying because there were few rooms in the hallway. Heard little between the rooms. The service was pleasant, although we did not see much of these due to their own entrance with other private apartments. The feeling was therefore that you lived for yourself, which suited us perfectly.

Great staff that was really kind and accommodated to your needs. They called us a taxi to the airport and helped us whenever we needed it. Location was perfect. Walking distance to many food places, main attractions (trevi fountain, churches, coliseum, etc. ). It was also quiet at night which made it easy to sleep!

Our 2-night stay was an amazing experience. The hotel's location and accessibility were excellent, with most of the city's attractions just a short walking distance away. It had a cozy, old-fashioned charm—almost like taking a brief trip back to the 18th century.
